My rather loud new neighbor

We live in a condo. Our condo sits on a golf course. Our building faces a canal and on the other side of the canal is a road. It's not a particularly busy road, but typical of one in a country club community. For about a month or so I've been hearing this annoying, incessant, honking in the morning. I figured it was a goose. I assumed this year one decided to take it's winter refuge on our quiet canal. Said goose is rather verbal; he has a great deal to say. I have only known of his presence because of his vocalizations and I have been trying to catch a glimse of Mr. Goose. This morning I succeeded!

I suppose most people would say, "Big deal. You have a couple of geese visiting this winter." But I feel it's important to note that I, being a city girl, don't get to see geese very often. (I also like the way the pics came out. I'm enjoying my new digital camera with it's 10x optical zoom.) I am curious to see if we will find ourselves with a clutch of goslings soon. I don't know of a nest, but there is always the possibility.
