There are so many things going on currently that are newsworthy and important. We are in a war. We are in a war which was founded on lies...by our own government and president. The current Attorney General, Alberto Gonzales, fired a slew of federal attorneys in an extremely questionable manner. One of his aides will be questioned on the matter and right now it's looking like she will plead the 5th Amendment. Hilary Clinton, in her bid for the 2008 presidential election, raised $10 million in campaign contributions this weekend. (I have to assume the GOP contenders are a bit freaked out over that news. Particularly since the election is well over 1 1/2 years away.) Those are just the highlights.
I think all of those are pretty hot topics. But what did Fox News have as their lead story today and this evening? The autopsy results of Anna Nicole Smith. That's right. Not Alberto Gonzales and how it seems that with each passing day the Republicans are dropping their support for him and questioning his actions. Nothing about Scooter Libby and the Valerie Plame case. But Anna Nicole Smith.
"Fair and Balanced"? I think not.
